Join The Great Ouse River Clean Up! Sat Apr 21st @ 10am

Please help clean the river at 10am on Sat April 21st: A river clean up is being organised by Bedford Council’s Events and Community Engagement team on Saturday 21st April at 10am. As prolific river users, we’d like to turn out in force to show that Star Club cares about the river environment.

This is a first call for volunteers. If you can spare an hour or two on Saturday 21st April, please volunteer here. We’ll be publishing a roll of honour on the website (by squad) to thank those who do volunteer.

Why should I volunteer?

  1. Our newly published club strategy specifically states that we should pursue community initiatives aimed at care of the river environment
  2. We are very prolific river users – it’s in our interest to make the environment as pleasant as possible
  3. It won’t take long to do, but will have a very positive impact both on the river and the club’s reputation

If you’d like to play your part in keeping the river clean, please fill in the form below. On the day, we’ll be meeting up with Bedford Borough Council’s community team at the Butterfly Bridge at 10am.

Volunteer to Join Star Club’s River Clean-Up Team

All you need to do is tell us your name and your squad and we’ll add you to the roll of honour! You can also sign up and share the event on Facebook to get your friends involved.
