Star Club has lost one of its most loyal and long standing supporters. Pete Bullard died last week, leaving behind many friends at Star Club, all of whom have happy memories of his time with us.
Pete joined the Club in the 1960’s after striking a friendship with former President and Founder Member, Mike Edwards. He maintained a continual presence at the Club since that time and was a generous benefactor. Pete was proprietor of Barfordian Coaches and provided transport for many of the Club’s Annual Henley picnics as well as a luxurious mode of conveyance for members on a trip to Bamberg. Latterly he was a keen and sharp eyed competitor on the Thursday night pool table and a consummate consumer of Ham, Egg and Chips. He will be sorely missed.
Well rowed Pete
Pete’s Funeral will be held at All Saints Church in Turvey at 11.00am on 27th March, followed by a gathering at the Green Man at Lavendon afterwards. All are welcome.
