- Are you over 18 years old?
- Do you want to develop your personal fitness & flexibility?
- Are you prepared to rise to unexpected challenges?
- Would you like to join a sporting community of like-minded individuals?
If your answer to these questions is ‘Yes’, then the wonderful sport of rowing may be just what you are looking for.
At Star Club, we deliver a rolling Learn To Row Programme (LTRP) which delivers comprehensive single sculling tuition for all new adult recruits. Because it’s geared to the progress of the individual, it’s open ended.
Once you have achieved an appropriate level of proficiency in a single sculling boat, you will move on to the appropriate training squad for further development.
Rowing is totally inclusive and there is a place for everyone. The only requirement is that you can swim 100m in clothing. And we do mean everyone! At Star Club we have members who are in their 70’s.
Star Club is affiliated to British Rowing and the LTRP is conducted within a safe Covid19 protected environment, following the guidelines issued by British Rowing.
Nobody knows if they are going to enjoy rowing until they have tried it.
A Recreational Squad exists for casual rowing but if you are committed to personal fitness you should learn to race. Don’t decide to row recreationally just because you are uncertain about your ability to row – your coaches will help you develop your skills.
